3D-CT Rhinoplasty: Why It Matters

With a systematic process from before to after surgery,we can create a rhinoplasty plan optimized for each individual.

  • POINT 01 Deviated septum icon with an arrow pointing into the nose

    Checking for deviated septum
    and nasal valve stenosis

  • POINT 02 Icon showing the shape of nasal cartilage with an upward arrow

    Assessing the shape and size
    of the septal cartilage

  • POINT 03 Medical chart icon with a check mark

Measuring the width of the nasal bones
to decide whether osteotomy is needed

  • POINT 04 Magnifying glass icon with a check mark

    Identifying the type and method
of previous surgery in revision cases

Clearly different from standard rhinoplasty:
3D-CT Rhinoplasty

Standard Rhinoplasty
A gloved hand holding the patient's chin while the nose is examined by eye in profile
3D-CT Rhinoplasty
DENTRI X 3D-CT imaging equipment
Visual examination
Analysis
3D-CT imaging analysis
Detailed analysis of the bone, cartilage, and deviation inside the nose,
and assessment of functional aspects, is not possible
Analysis
results
Detailed analysis is possible, including the condition of the internal skin tissue, whether osteotomy is needed,
and functional aspects
The details inside the nose are hard to assess, making
systematic pre-operative analysis difficult
Surgical
plan
With 3D-CT analysis, both aesthetic and functional aspects
are taken into account, allowing for an accurate surgical plan
Difficult to achieve a complete correction
Function
Functional improvement is possible

Treatments for Internal Nasal Structure Conditions

Deviated septum

The nasal septum is the cartilage that holds the center of the nose in place.A deviated septum, in which this cartilage is bent, can lead to rhinitis and sinusitis, and it often makes the nose look crooked on the outside.

TreatmentAfter removing part of the bent septal cartilage, the remaining portion is straightened.

Nasal valve stenosis

This space, located at the upper inner part of the nose, regulates breathing. When it narrows, breathing becomes difficult and you may feel stuffy, which leads to nasal congestion.

TreatmentDepending on the cause, autologous cartilage is inserted into the narrowed area to create space, widening the narrowed nasal valve so that breathing becomes easier.

TreatmentWe reduce the size of the enlarged inferior turbinatesor relieve rhinitis symptoms through deviated septum surgery.
