No Alcohol / No Smoking

To prevent infection, you must avoid alcohol and smoking for 4 weeks.

Face Washing / Showering

When washing your face or showering, cover the site with waterproof tape to keep water out, and remove it afterward.

Care

Remove the tape from the surgical site the day after surgery.
In daily life, exposure to sunlight can cause secondary pigmentation, so please apply sunscreen well and take care to keep the surgical site covered when you go outdoors. Begin applying sunscreen one week after suture removal.
For 2 months, please avoid strenuous movement and strongly stimulating massage at the surgical site.

Suture Removal

Depending on your skin type, the treatment area, and how well you heal, the course may take longer. On average, we check the area and remove the stitches after 7–10 days for the face and 10–14 days for the body.

Prescribed Medication

Apply the prescribed Neosiderm (Fucidin) ointment in a thin layer in the morning and evening until 2 days after stitch removal. Put just a small amount on a cotton swab, enough so the wound does not dry out, and apply it 2–3 times a day. Applying too much may make the wound soggy and irritated.
From day 3 after stitch removal, keep Steri-Strip tape on the area for one month. After that, apply scar ointment consistently for 6 months.
