Aftercare for Mole Removal Laser

No Alcohol / No Smoking

Alcohol and smoking can trigger inflammation, so it is best to avoid them for 2 weeks after treatment.

Regeneration Tape (Duoderm)

Keep the regeneration tape (Duoderm) on for at least 7 days after treatment. If the wound is deep or healing slowly, it is best to keep it on for about one more week. You can buy Duoderm at a pharmacy.
If the tape turns white and swells up, replace it with a new one.
After the regeneration tape period is over, apply Fucidin to the treated area twice a day for one week.
Be sure to apply sunscreen from the time you start using the regeneration ointment.

Washing / Makeup

You can wash your face and wear makeup starting on the day of treatment, with the tape kept on.

Care

Even if a scab forms, it is best not to rub or pick at it.
The treated area heals with a red color that lasts about 3–6 months. If healing is slow, it is best to use regeneration ointment regularly.
Large or deep areas need repeat treatment 2–3 times or more, and retreatment is possible after 2 months.
If water or sweat gets into the wound, pigmentation may occur. Most cases fade naturally within 6 months, so there is no need to worry.
For about 2 weeks after treatment, avoid saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), and strenuous exercise, and take care not to sweat.
